The free version of homeValence.com relies on government sources that exist in many disparate databases. Economists, appraisers and other professionals rely on this same data to analyze residential real estate trends, inflation and mortgage rates. More about the data source.
What else can I do with it?
In addition to tracking your home's appreciation, registered users can easily share reports and even export them into Excel. You can also keep up with the equity meter - handy if you're thinking of refinancing, eliminating private mortgage insurance or adjusting your homeowner's insurance. You can view reports for every market where friends and family live, comparing returns.
Why do you request my FICO score?
homeValence.com uses the number in this field in some of our reports to help you understand how to maximize leverage given a certain credit score. You can change this number as your score improves or to reflect what-if scenarios.
What security do you employ?
homeValence.com offers optional (you decide) 128-bit encryption SSL (Secure Sockets Layer) form protection. This feature ensures that data passed between the web server and browsers remains private. SSL is an industry standard and is used by millions of websites in the protection of their online transactions with their customers. It all but eliminates the possibility of your personal data being intercepted and decrypted between your ISP and our servers. The trade-off is that the site's performance will be slightly slower.
Will you keep my information private?

In order to utilize homeValence.com's community features and maintain user privacy, your (8 alphanumeric characters) UserID and public handle are used in place of your legal name. Since other users will be able to see your handle at times, do not use your full name or email address or your personal security may be compromised.
Why would I share?
Like P2P file sharing, you have to give a little to get a little. homeValence.com allows for anonymous sharing of financial metrics data that cannot be traced back to you. Other than your public handle and zip code, other users can only see what kind of returns and appreciation others are experiencing.
